Role overview As a core member of Accolade’s data platform team, you will be designing, building, and delivering V1 cloud-native, service-oriented products to meet the growth trajectory of the company in data ingestion, processing, and business intelligence needs.

A day in the life… We are looking for an experienced Data Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Databricks infrastructure.
As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding other engineers, as well as collaborating closely with data scientists, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our infrastructure supports our data analytics platform effectively.
Lead the design and implementation of the Databricks infrastructure to support our data analytics platform.
Configure and manage the compute and storage resources, including clusters, nodes, and disks.
Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Work closely with data scientists and developers to understand their requirements and optimize the infrastructure accordingly.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure the smooth integration of the Databricks infrastructure with other systems and applications.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the Databricks platform and related technologies.
What we are looking for… Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining Databricks infrastructure.
Strong understanding of cloud computing, particularly in AWS or Azure.
Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Strong scripting skills in Python or another scripting language.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with data analytics and machine learning concepts is a plus.
Experience leading projects and teams.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
