Under the general supervision of the Director of Community Based Prevention, this position, is annually renewable position within the Southwest Prevention Center.
The SPFRX Coordinator is responsible for coordination of communitydriven efforts to promote populationlevel change by providing culturally appropriate prevention and harm reduction services and support to communities and coalitions through the implementation of the Strategic Prevention Framework for Prescription Drugs Program in Cleveland and McClain Counties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Plan and oversee project management.
Provide program management, technical support and monitoring to ensure that the communities of focus are successful in the implementation of the program services.
Collect and analyze data and prepare reports.
Participate in evaluation activities, including process and outcome assessments as specified in the final evaluation plan developed with the Evaluation team.
Collect National Outcome Measures, and participation in the SAMHSA required Cross Site Evaluation and any other required evaluations.
Organize, develop and sustain communitybased collaborations aimed at achieving goals of reducing the nonmedical use of prescription drugs among youth and adults.
Develop policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with program regulations.
Provide training and technical assistance, facilitation, coordination and skills development services to communities and coalitions.
Plan and coordinate program events including coalition meetings.
Track details and maintain effective planning design methods to support successful grant implementation.
Engage in community outreach and development of targeted media campaigns addressing the priority.
ADDITIONAL NOTES Travel required within Cleveland & McClain counties.
Staff is required to attend occasional weekday evening and/or weekend events.
Must be able to complete a thorough employment and/or criminal history check.
Job Requirements Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND: 48 months of related experience.
Equivalent Substitution: Will accept 48 months of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree to equal 96 months of related experience.
Skills: Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines Able to effectively evaluate projects and programs and produce comprehensive reports Must be able to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations Certifications: None Supervision: None Advertised Physical Requirements: Sits for prolonged periods.
Communicate effectively.
Manual dexterity.
Standard office environment.
Departmental Preferences: Bachelor's degree in social sciences, health education or related field OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience.
Prior community outreach experience.
Ability to obtain the required Certified Prevention Specialist credential within 18 months of employment Experience in drug and alcohol prevention, public health, or working in the health field or social services Related experience that includes organization, participation and facilitation skills.
Related experience with a community engagement focus.
Knowledge of computer software and Microsoft applications (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain project documentation, complete monthly reports and submit reports by deadlines.
