Network Technician

Position Summary: The Fiber Network Technician participates in the implementation and maintenance of network systems including the hardware, software, cabling and other data and voice communications equipment and functions to provide optimum data and voice services to CVEC Fiber customers.
Oversees home and business installations.
Provides escalated technical support for customers and resolves complaints.
Essential Functions: Provides tier two support to customers so they can access the network successfully.
Provides in-home technical support for customers who need additional help after install.
Provides installation of services to anchor institutions and businesses.
Helps perform maintenance of network devices with all firmware and software updates, security patches and features.
Install and/or upgrade network equipment Assists with tier three after hour coverage Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
2 or more years of experience in a server or network role.
