I scored this awesome left-hander's kangaroo glove many, many years ago at Athletic Village on Campus Corner in Norman.
I was told that an outfielder for the Texas Rangers with local roots, who had been given the glove by MacGregor, had just traded it in on some racquetball gear.
Sadly, I can't remember who he was.
I was thrilled with my find, and my glove and I made many mundane and spectacular catches in the outfield for lots of years.
Kangaroo skin is the strongest, lightest, and most expensive leather.
It can cost twice as much as other leathers.
As far as I know, this glove is entirely kangaroo, unlike the current Nokonas, which combine kangaroo with cowhide.
Even those sell for close to $500 new.
This hasn't been used or treated in years.
You might want to apply conditioner to renew it.
