Compensation: $18 - $23 hourly + bonuses Responsibilities: Project Management/Case Management Manage the firm’s legal calendar deadlines and case milestones Manage legal appointments, court appearances, and tasks Prioritize case workload Manage and triage client communications via phone and email Maintain client records in the firm’s case management system Maintain physical and electronic client case files Monitors legal fees, budgets, and project status Setting up, organizing files, and taking the lead on files Scheduling and attending consultations, meetings, and events Case Work Maintain and summarize case information and files for both internal and client communication.
Draft letters, reports, and documents based on templates Prepare legal documents for meetings, depositions, and hearings Prepare discovery as well as responses for discovery demands Assist attorneys in legal research and cite-checking Performs factual investigation and analysis of case issues Assist in all phases of case preparation, including discovery and trial Prepare trial binders; coordinate trial exhibits Coordinate witness's preparation and flow of trial preparation Case Collaboration Keep the attorney and legal team updated on case status consistently and proactively.
Keep clients updated on case status consistently and proactively Communicate with courts, couriers, and litigation support vendors Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds Qualifications: Must have experience working as a Family Law Paralegal Previous experience in a law firm in a paralegal or legal assistant role is required Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Ability to quickly and effectively learn new technology and software Strong written communication skills that are consistent, detail-oriented, and professional Excellent verbal communication skills with a personable and proactive approach Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow existing procedures or create new ones when necessary Patient and consistent in maintaining established standards and guidelines Capable of investigating information with empathy and positivity Positive and solution-focused problem solver Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Self-driven individual who can work independently without constant supervision Skilled at following workflows and instructions accurately Proficient at multitasking and adapting quickly to changing priorities Exceptional team player willing to contribute in any capacity needed Enjoys assisting others in finding clear paths to the future Seeking to be an integral part of a successful team About Company We are a Divorce and Family law firm in Purcell, Oklahoma leveling the playing field for hardworking men dealing with divorce and custody disputes.
