JOB TITLE: Assistant District Attorney / Criminal Misdemeanor Division
LOCATION: District 21, Cleveland County
STATUS: Full Time, Exempt, Immediate Opening
CLOSING: Open Until Filled
SALARY: Salary based upon Experience and Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant District Attorneys assigned to the criminal misdemeanor division will screen charges for filing, evaluate cases for prosecutorial merit, and prosecute all cases filed as misdemeanor.
Additionally, they will serve at the pleasure of the District Attorney and may be assigned other tasks as deemed fit by the District Attorney.

from an accredited law school.
Must be admitted to the Oklahoma State Bar and be in good standing.
JOB FUNCTIONS: The ADA will review law enforcement reports and determine the viability of filing any criminal charges.
Once a case has been assigned to the ADA, they will review all aspects and pieces of evidence submitted by law enforcement, initiate further investigation where necessary, consider all the circumstances, make contact with the victim, and determine the most fair and just outcome.
They will prepare cases for trial in every step of the legal process by appearing professionally, prepared and on-time to all court hearings, researching and filing legal motions, and continually developing, maintaining, and improving all skills necessary to perform daily prosecutorial duties.
Additionally, the ADA will assist law enforcement when appropriate and necessary as well as complete other tasks assigned by a supervisor or the District Attorney.
