FINANCE /ECONOMICS:
The Business Administration Department at East Central University (ECU) invites applications for a full-time position (tenure track) in either Economics or Finance with the rank of assistant professor beginning Fall 2023.
The Business Administration Department offers an undergraduate program with concentrations in entrepreneurship, finance, general business, marketing, and management.
The department also offers a Master in Management degree program.
The person filling this position would be expected to teach finance and/or economic courses (seat-time, blended, and online) in the Master in Management and Master of Science in Accounting programs in addition to the undergraduate program.
The Business Administration Department resides in the Stonecipher School of Business.

The school also offers nine certificate degree programs including banking and finance, entrepreneurship, management information systems, human resource management, promotions management, treasury management, managerial accounting, and global business.
The SSB is accredited through the Accreditation Council of Business Programs (ACBSP).
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Economics, Finance, and possibly other business topics in data analytics, personal financial planning, investment analysis, or strategy.
Non-teaching duties include departmental and university committee assignments and student advising.
A commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarly activity and professional service is expected.
Successful candidates will have the potential to collaborate with students and faculty across disciplines and become involved with the local business community, student internships/research, and the student organization Business Leaders Association (BLA).
Additional academic service includes supporting the enhancement of the visibility of the business program by conducting cross-disciplinary and community programs promoting the business program.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have either (1) a Ph.
D.
in Finance or Economics or related area, (2) a DBA with a specialty in Economics, Finance, or Financial Management (3) a doctorate degree in a related discipline with experience in Economics or Finance, (4) a JD with significant graduate experience in a related business field, or (5) an MBA or master degree in a related discipline with a minimum 18 graduate hours in teaching area.
Candidates with previous university teaching experience (seat time and online delivery) or equivalent professional experience are preferred.
