Mathematics Adjunct Faculty

STARTING DATE: January 2024 (classes begin on January 11)
SALARY: Minimum of $600 per credit hour with higher rates possible dependent on qualifications and experience.
RANK: Adjunct Faculty in Mathematics
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma seeks applicants for a part-time, adjunct teaching position in mathematics
for the fall semester.
The position may continue into the following academic year depending upon needs.
The selected
candidate will teach one or more undergraduate or remedial mathematics courses each semester (3-9 credit hours) depending
on demand.
Delivery modality (in-person, hybrid, online) is dependent on departmental needs and instructor qualifications.
Depending on the expertise of the selected candidate, courses for the spring semester include College Algebra and
Trigonometry.
Future courses could include remedial mathematics and elementary statistics, as well.
The selected candidate
will also coordinate with the Dean of the School of Science & Physical Education and other mathematics faculty to ensure
courses are meeting student, division, and university needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Teaching experience and the potential to teach undergraduate students.
A master’s degree in mathematics, a master’s degree
in a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics, or current enrollment in a graduate program in mathematics
or a related field is required to teach undergraduate courses.
