Overview:
Provides non clinical support to all nursing units, ancillary areas, and administrative areas.
This support includes but not limited to internal and/or external transportation of patients, distribution of patient supplies and equipment, performs courier type functions and assist with the distribution of mail.
Responsibilities:
Transports patients from one area of the hospital to another and distributes supplies and equipment.
Perform tasks to support the delivery of care by actively participating as an interdisciplinary care team member.
Qualifications:
Education
High school education or equivalent.
Experience
Prefer experience providing customer service in transportation (or transport), clerical duties, and/or dispatching associated functions.
Requires general computer skills capable of utilizing health system's software programs.
Licensure/Certification
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) CPR acquired before or during new hire orientation.
Compensation/Benefits
$11.
75-$19.
18/hr depending on previous work experience.
