Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at The Goddard School of Moore.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, ensuring the provision of nutritious and delicious meals for our young learners.

Responsibilities:
Menu Planning: Develop well-balanced and age-appropriate menus that meet nutritional requirements and cater to dietary restrictions.
Food Preparation and Cooking: Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
Inventory Management: Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies as needed, and maintaining optimal stock levels.
Budget Control: Work within budget constraints, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising the quality of meals.
Collaboration: Coordinate with other staff members, including teachers and administrators, to address dietary concerns, special dietary needs, and ensure a smooth meal service.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with Oklahoma Health Department regulations, licensing requirements, and food service standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in kitchen operations, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and menu planning for young children.
Cleveland County Food Handlers permit.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food service.
Computer skills such as to place online orders through commercial food suppliers.
Ability to engage with children to create a positive environment.
Must pass a fingerprint-based background check.
Education and Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Serv-Safe Certification (preferred).
Relevant culinary education or certification (preferred).
