Job purpose
The Accounting Intern assists the Finance and Accounting functions in various tasks and projects
Key duties and responsibilities
Import corporate credit card transactions and reconcile credit card statements
Process employee expense report transactions
Calculate use tax payments
Monitor and reconcile accounts payable
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year end close
Assist with annual financial audit preparation
Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
Pursing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
Completion of financial and managerial accounting courses
Proficient at Excel (QuickBooks knowledge/experience a plus)
Extremely organized with high attention to detail
Effective written and oral communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Effective at prioritizing tasks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Credits
This is a paid internship; which also may be used for course credit.
