*Job Title:* Revenue Cycle Accounts Receivable Spclst *General Description:* This position is located within the Chickasaw Nation Division of Health with the duty station at Apila Center.
The purpose of this position is to allocate payments to patient accounts for all payer resources.
*Supervision Received:* Incumbent is under the direct supervision of the Chickasaw Nation Division of Health Revenue Cycle Billing Reimbursement Manager.
*Supervision Exercised:* None *Supervision Essential Job Functions:* * Creates accounts receivable batches in RPMS/PAMS accounts receivable based on the deposit slip copy provided.
* Copies of batches created for Finance Department.
* Posts all third-party reimbursements/adjustments in RPMS/PAMS accounts receivable module to patient accounts in CNMC, Ardmore, Purcell, Tishomingo or all Chickasaw Nation Division of Health.
* Imports created batches and EOBs to OnBase for Finance * Imports 835 remits for posting on multiple systems including ABILITY for multiple payers.
* Assists billers with questions on payments/denial on EOBS from payers.
* Assists finance with finding patient account numbers on EOBS from payers.
* Accurately interpret EOBS to identify payment discrepancies.
* Exhibit prompt arrival to duty station and is ready to work by designated time as well as follows employee code of conduct and core values.
* Treats all customers/employees with respect and maintains a cooperative attitude with other employees to facilitate quality patient care.
* Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional manner as well as appropriate problem solving and communication skills.
* Upload batches to Unity Client OnBase * Assists Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist and Revenue Cycle Reimbursement Specialist with questions on payments/denial on EOBS from payers.
* Assists Finance with finding patient account numbers on EOBS from payers.
* Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
*Minimum Qualifications* *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:* *Preferred* - General understanding and knowledge of accounting procedures sufficient to maintain ledgers of submittal and collection logs.
*Preferred* - Working knowledge to interpret and produce financial reports.
*Preferred* - Working knowledge of managed care and other health plans explanation of benefits.
*Preferred* - Ability performing transactions in a patient accounting system.
*Preferred* - Ability multi-tasking.
*Preferred* - Demonstrated self starter.
*Preferred* - Proficient data entry computer skills.
*Preferred* - Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
*Preferred* - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written in a professional manner.
*Preferred* - Ability to continue to learn skills and expand knowledge.
*Preferred* - Ability to keep information received through the position confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulation.
*Education:* *GED Required* - High School diploma or equivalent.
*Education Note:* *Training And Experience:* *Required Training* (6 months - 3 years) - This position is required to have at least one (1) year experience in medical accounts receivable.
A college/vocational course in medical terminology, medical billing, and/or accounting or a degree in Healthcare Administration are applicable to position.
High school diploma or equivalency of GED required.

*Work Environment:* Work is performed in a cubical type office setting.
Must possess the ability to cope with change in the healthcare environment.
